The Office of International Education (OIE) is a service organisation promoting international cooperation in the field of education. The services include assistance to academic and administrative university staff involved in international co-operation programmes. OIE runs an information centre on studies abroad. It provides information on all the higher education institutions in the country, as well as practical things to do before arriving, visas, admissions, residence permits, etc. and general info about Iceland.
The University of Iceland runs the Office of International Education according to an agreement with the Ministry of Culture, Education and Science.
